Testing process

This section will quickly guide you through the testing procedure, more detailed information can be viewed in the How We Test section.

  1. Register with us for a Test
  2. You can register with us by telephone, letter or online. If you are ready to do this please visit Register for a Test.

  3. DNA Sampling
  4. This will be arranged when you register with us for a test.

  5. Analysis of DNA
  6. Once we receive your DNA samples into our laboratory profiling and analysis will begin.

  7. Report
  8. Once we have analysed your DNA and double checked the results we will put our findings into a report.

  9. Delivery
  10. Once the report is finished it will be sent to you by 1st class post or registered post by your request.

Crucial Genetics has been accredited by the Ministry of Justice as a body that may carry out parentage tests directed by the civil courts in England and Wales under section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969.
